Rubber sole wading boots
Has anyone used the new rubber soled (Vibram) wading boots? I currently use the felt sole but would like to change if it helps protect the river. Does anyone have a recommendation?

I use them, like them, but sell them so read the pluses and minuses and make up your own mind. I'm very strong on the use of vibram over felt as well. No felt isn't the only thing on your wading gear...

I looked at the new Cloudveil boots this weekend. Very lightweight and seemed designed very well.

I've worn the 5/10 rubber soles on my Chaco sandals for 5 years, kinda like Spiderman stuck to a building, they grip the snot rocks on our tailwaters. Korkers used the 5/10 in the past this year...

Steve, The White is a piece of cake to wade compared to other rivers, try some of the river out west and east without felt, and at times studs.

Yep it is Davy, except for that limestone bottom at roundhouse, I've done some time outside AR too. Since the move away from felt you would think that felt was the miracle material which gripped to...

Steve, l will buy that one, felt is about worthless on mud, wet grass, snow and ice, downed me a good few times in the past. However most of what we have to day is a far cry from the heavy boot waders...
